This is a One Page Adventure supposed to be played in any RPG system with a Game Master (GM) and players.  It wasn’t exactly written for a specific genre of scenario but it is most suitable for low fantasy and low technological settings to justify many of the choices made throughout the game. In this adventure it is presumed that the playable characters all must have a dark past which is going to be the main reason of their adversities.

BACKGROUND

The Heaven’s Peak mountains chain is a very wide range of mountains with huge heights and high slopes, in normal conditions no traveller would dare going through it and would just take the way around it even though it usually takes around two weeks to do so.

It just happens that our travelers are very important messengers of their kingdom and a war rapidly approaches, any second they save is a second more their kingdom has to prepare for war and that means everything.

One of the travelers though knows of old tales that tell of the ancient civilizations who built a straight passage through the mountains that only their own people knew how to use and every traveler that dared trying to go through it up to now has never been seen again.

By luck or maybe destiny our travelers happen to find the entrance to it, do they possess what it needs to be able to go through it?

Writer's Note

This game went well for half of my player during play test and the reason is pretty simple, it's based on roleplaying, this story heavily relies on the player truly performing the actions according to the character's personality, also Meta Game is extremely harmful for this story.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
