Angel Project

Selected Option:

It is the year 20XX, and mankind has achieved an unprecedented era of prosperity. Earth is paradisiacal, and people have spread out to the stars. Things are pretty great all around.

Except of course for the matter of the Dark Rift.

The Dark Rift is a sort of wound in the universe that spills out a dark energy that taints all it touches. It spews out creatures called Shadows, and it created the Dark Angels, the Dark Empress, and the dreaded Machine Empire. Normal weapons are of limited use against such threats. Mankind’s best hope is using Seraphim Drive technology, a gift from an alien machine-being that a scientist discovered on Mars. There is a catch however; only girls of pure heart can use a Seraphim Gear power suit. Thus began the Angel Project.

This is a role-playing game where you pretend to be girls recruited by the Angel Project who will use special Seraphim Gear power suits to fight the Darkness, kind of like something out of an anime. It uses a light, improvisational Powered by the Apocalypse variant, building on the rules of Magical Fury. To play you'll need pencils, paper, and a few six-sided dice.

This game uses a variant of the rules of Magical Fury (http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/143004/Magical-Fury), which is a very simple Powered by the Apocalypse variant. Like most of my games it does have lots of d66 tables however.

my bad i have an other question but more about the genre, i see there is a few mahou shoujo as main source, but do you have any recommandation for references ?

and one last for the road : with some tweaking we can use the random table from Magical Fury right ? or do you plan to make specific tables for space adventure with moe heroine ?

thank you so much for your answers.

The single biggest inspiration for Angel Project is an old anime/game franchise called Galaxy Fraulein Yuna. You'd have to know Japanese to play the games, but the two short anime series are good at capturing the right feel. Symphogear and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha are also in there, though the game leans a bit more towards comedy. Nanoha's way of befriending her foes is very much like Yuna and meant to be how things can go in Angel Project, and the concepts of Shadows and the Angel Project as a support organization come from Symphogear.

Angel Project has a much lighter tone than Magical Fury, so it has an entirely different set of tables. The tables from one wouldn't be _completely_ useless for the other, but they're very much aimed at their respective tones and settings, and would need a little work to cross over.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
