Map making can be time-consuming and sometimes frustrating for GMs, especially GMs with limited time to begin with. In our new 'GM's Maps' range, we will be providing a range of pre-made maps for you to use in your games.

Plantations, and hence plantation houses were common all across the European-influenced world an in European colonies, although exactly what the plantation was producing often varied by region or even by nation.

Houses such as this were common in the Caribbean, Asia (Especially India) and the America's.

This product contains two version of the Plantation House map (One as it might have looekd original the second is a modern conversion or a modern build), text detailing the history of plantations and plantation houses, a list of common plantation crops and 10 adventure hooks for adventures you can set in the Plantation House and it's surrounding plantation.

Examples:

3/. A Hell of Their Own Making (Supernatural Horror)

The plantation owner buys new slaves in order to profit from his ever-growing business, only for one woman to possess dark magic/voodoo, and with each beating, every whip lashing and rattling chains, every painful death of one of her people, each brutal assault against her and her hot, angry tears, her powers grow and grow...

She finally explodes and unleashed a terrifying curse upon the master and his family; the plantation becomes a dark and decaying cotton farm, the plants carnivorous and devouring the flesh of any that walk by, strange creatures that lurk in the shadows stalk and hunt the masters and every slave who dies rises from the dead, at the bidding of their priestess.

Eventually the plantation owners try to escape but begin to realise they can't get away – they are already dead and trapped in a hell of their own making.

5/. Southern Hospitality (Gothic Horror)

The stranger arrived on a dark and stormy night, who could turn him away? He seems wan and tired and impossibly thirsty but he won't drink... wine.

Just as the ancient lore dictates, his kind rely on hospitality, for they can not enter a hoe without invitation. Now he has been invited in though, well, the family and their house servants are all fair game for the stranger's thirst for blood.

8/. Cartel (Thriller/Espionage)

The plantation is a front for the Cartel's drug running operations. The PCs are trying to infiltrate the cartel to bring it down. Can they collect the evidence and undermine the Cartel before they are caught and tortured or killed (or most likely both?).

This could just as easily have been drawn in MS Word. If you're looking for bland wall outlines then this is your thing. If you're looking for floorplans that you need for VTT then save your money.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
