D100 Dungeon - Mapping Game Print and Play (Accessory 1)

ADD TO WISHLIST >

D100 Dungeon - Mapping Game (Accessory 1) combines the D100 Dungeon rule book (not included), with cards and tokens to give the game a board game feel. It includes 96 mapping cards, 24 map overlay cards, 53 monster cards, and 150 tokens. By using the Mapping Game, you will get to create the dungeon your exploring on the table in front of you instead of drawing it on a Dungeon Sheet. The Mapping Game is also compatible with all other D100 Dungeon Products.

This is a print and play version of the Mapping Game (offered as an alternative to The Game Crafter Mapping Game product). You’ll need to print the components, and cut them out.

You will need the D100 Dungeon rule book to use the Mapping Game.

Any chance that the 53 monster cards could be made available separately here and/or on gamecrafter? I'd love to get them printed out on gamecrafter without having to buy the rest of the mapping game package.

This product is described as "compatible with all other D100 Dungeon products." Does that mean it includes the content that is listed separately here as "D100 Dungeon - Mapping Game Add-On Print and Play," or must we buy that as well to get the extra content such as The Dragon Armour/Lost Tome tokens, the geographic counter and bonus monsters?

Maybe I'm missing something but the back pages are missing lines for cutting. Is it intentional? I feel silly paying for this, printing on expensive paper to give that extra feel and spending now time on making it work. All this to save on customs fee and import vat when buying from Gamecrafter. As the saying goes, buy cheap...

Yes it is intentional, the reason is to allow for drift with printing. The trimming lines are added to the front only of the cards/tokens and not that backs, so when they are trimmed there is no chance of trimming lines being left on the backs.

Hello Martin! While I understand this is useful for tiles but pages with cards, one page is with cutting lines and the other without. Sorry, but it doesn't make sense. Anyway, money are spent so I'll make it work.

You need to observe the page numbers, and make sure you are printing the correct page numbers with front and backs matching, as the instructions advise. The monster cards are double sided, so a monster will be on the front and one on the back, that’s why they have cut lines on the front page, but not on the back. The monster cards will have a monster from table E on one side and on the other side the equivalent monster from table EA. This is how it is printed in the gamecrafter edition, and as the rule book for the mapping game will instruct you, to flip the cards over to choose the encounter table you wish to use, it was imperative that it followed suit for the print and play version. The monster cards have a special icon for table EA on one side and the opposite side has no such icon for table E monsters. I hope all this info helps. The most important aspect of printing, is to make sure you print page 1 front to page 1 back and repeat for all pages (including the card pages) making sure the fronts are printed...See more

Thank you for your patience! I used the printing services, so I had to choose single sided printing if I wanted to make overlay counters on thicker cardboard. The file modification isn't allowed after all. I see now that printing the monster and map cards double sided would have been better.

I purchased this from Game Crafter and the quality is excellent. I use it all the time now (along with the Game Tracker incidentally). Am glad you will be updating it for Tome and hope you include Players Companion and Dragon Armour rule expansions as well. Keep it coming Martin!

Hi Martin. First thank you for all that you do in delivering an amazing product! Just a quick question: Do you plan to update the "D100 - Mapping Game Print and Play" now that "The Lost Tome of Extraordinary Rules" has been released? Thanks much...

Yes this was something that got planned, it will be added as a separate download (no charge). Anyone that has the game crafter edition, new counters will be offered as a upgrade to get separately. Alternatively they can also use the free print and play upgrade file.

Hi Martin, I have previously purchased Version 3 of the rules and wish to purchase this D100 Dungeon - Mapping Game Print and Play however I want to ensure that I am able to use a third party printer to be able to print it for me? The reason I am asking is when I purchased your version 3 rules it was encrypted and was unable to print my personal copy. Will I have this issue with the D100 Dungeon - Mapping Game Print and Play or can I just send it to the printer and have them print for me? .. Thanks for your help and great game!

The mapping game pdf is not encrypted like the other books, as you do need to print the files yourself to make up a working game for your personal use.

This game requires "the original version 3 of the rulebook." I wonder how you can tell which version you own?

I got this together with D100 Dungeon and The adventurer's companion. Love the products- great solo experience. Any chance this will be updated to include material from the adventurer's companion?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
