We Are All Savages

ADD TO WISHLIST >

January 1760. Six months ago, British troops captured Fort Niagara from the French, and with it, control of the Great Lakes region and the Ohio River Valley. Now snow piles high against the walls of the fort, and somewhere beyond the shadowy pines, something ancient stirs, woken by the European conflict.

This scenario includes six provided investigators for speed of play.

THE REVIEWS ARE IN:

“We Are All Savages is far above average on the quality spectrum….It is smartly and professionally designed. The table of contents is hyperlinked which is a nice little addition. You don’t often see that in self-published scenarios. In fact, it might be mistaken for a Chaosium release based on the presentation alone. For me, that’s a mark of quality. The included handouts are nicely done...and the pre-gen characters make the time period more accessible without needing to include new occupations….If you like roleplaying in historic eras, this scenario is definitely one worth checking out.” - Rolling Boxcars

I got to play this scenario at a local game store.

It was interesting playing in a scenario outside of what you would consider the 'norm' for Call of Cthulhu fair (Not another 20's CoC adventure). I really enjoyed the pacing and challenge this adventure posed as an investigator and oh boy did we get lucky in the end!

Ton of fun. Hope you enjoy it too!

I got to play this scenario at NecronomiCon.
It is quite brilliant.
It has aspects of straight survival struggles as well as the horror you'd expect from a Call of Cthulhu scenario.
There is a nice blend of pre-generated characters which enables good role-playing opportunities between characters.
People put off by the Seven Years War (French and Indian War/North American front) time frame should not be. This setting is neither less than more obscure than other scenarios set outside of traditional CoC time frames. A quick Googling will bring up enough basic material. Watching the films Black Robe and Last of the Mohicans will help too. (While not the same time period, watching The Revenant and Jeremiah Johnson will also help, at least with getting ideas for the aspect of dealing with the wilderness).
If you want a strong Call of Cthulhu scenario that does not have yet another mystery in 1920s Massachusetts, you would be hard pressed to find one better than "We Are All Savages"....See more

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
