Something has breached your security barriers on your starship? You fear it is your dreaded enemy, the Klartorlians. Can you search the ship, find these aliens, and kill them before they kill you? 

System Breach is an ultra-simple science fiction roleplaying game where you explore your own ship in search of unwanted aliens on board.  It can be played solo or with a traditional GM if you so wish. This game is based on the extremely popular grimdark fantasy Micro Chapbook RPG system.

These rules are specially designed for solo play on a grid map or graph paper but may also be used as quick and simple rules for a traditional GM run RPG game. Combine with other Micro Chapbook RPGs for extra options!  

This file includes both the full-color and printer-friendly versions.

do you have 30 to 40 words per page? thats a big problem with your page formatting. printing out 90 pages of almost nothing burns paper and doesnt read well.

I recommend picking up the physical printed edition from Amazon (paperback and hardcover are both available). In general, the PDFs are for those who are wanting to playing strictly digital and the physical books are for those who want a print copy. I try to keep my printing costs low, and it often ends up being cheaper to buy the physical book than try and print it yourself. As far as word count per page, on a page with no art or tables, at about 13 point font, there is usually between 200-250 words. I have many customers who are 40/50 years of age or older (who have been following Micro RPG from the very beginning and getting every release) and boosting the font from the standard 12 point to 13 point can help a lot in reading things and finding things in the book. I like this game. Question: when rolling for Melee Attack. I do a ST check, If I succeed to I apply the results of the ST attack to the damage of monster/alien? Or do I roll the 1D6 for my weapon and apply those results.
Example: I rolled my ST check (which mine is two) I roll a three and succeed. Do I then roll my Melee weapon which is 1D6 and apply those to remove the Monster/Alien LF?

Yes, the damage is a separate roll, depending on the weapon's damage dice.

Real quick since I have you: During a 4/square or larger range attack. If I fail my DE check which monster damage do I apply? H DMG or W DMG using the monster roll dice?

When generating a room do you roll 1d6 or 2d6?
In combat, you can run away right? (CHR check) is there a penalty for doing so?

These basic rules say 1D6. But in more recent interactions of the system, I switched it to 2D6 for more variety. So, I'd say 2D6. When I put out a deluxe Scifi core book for the system, it will have this update.
And you can run away without any penalty. You just don't earn a reward for clearing the room. The only time there is a penalty is if you fail your runaway roll and thus take damage.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
