Why are there variations between the 5 included PDFs? Why not just provide a single unified document? I'm confused.

Hello, thanks for the feedback. I forgot to delete the previous version of the pdf, which the platform preserved for download.
I have deleted the older versions and left the latest which is SVEC_-_Level_1_-_14022022.pdf.

Thank you! I love your idea of giving spells a power bump with an exotic component. I'm going to be implementing this into my games. It would be useful to include a hyperlinked table of contents to all of your guides. I also liked the format with the aged paper background used with the SpellVariantSpellComponentslvl1.pdf file better than the Homebrewery one. Thanks again.

Ok. I take note of your feedback about the aged paper layout versus the Homebrewery and the hyperlinks to the other guides.
Let me know if you find any other issue with the pdf. I am usually able to make proper corrections within 24/48 hours and downloading the updates is free.

Well.. it's nitpicking, a bit.. but the metric system did not exist in medieval times.. that's just one of many reasons why the standard system is used. I was irritated at the uninformed description of "dozens of milliliters" when describing the ampoule. Even today, the industry standard size of ampoule is generally between 1-10 ml. Of course, the original Romans and Greeks measured them in Drams and Drachmas, respectively.
On an unrelated note, I was mildly irritated at your definition of only getting 1d4 scales per size class from a given creature. ..?? Have you ever seen a SNAKE?? I would guess they about 400 scales per inch of body length. That would put a scrawny little 2 foor long snake at about 9,600 scales. ..but only 4 perfect ones huh? MAX of 4? Um, no. Larger creatures would just have the same number of scales on a proportionate size of their body. So, no.. all around.
Finally, I only got as far as your description of a flask of blood before I wrote off whatever else the rest of...See more

Hello James. Feedback noted.

-It is not nitpicking. An observation about the empiric use of a measuring system coherently with technlogical age that pretend to look like the middle age must be accepted.

About the Ampoule. Ampoules existed with different capacities, at least according to archeological discoveries that classified such items as ampoules. So, deciding how much liquid an ampoule can contain is quite arbitrary. The only viable solution would be to set a standard by using just "one ampoule" as a unit of measure.

About the Scales. The only possible solution here is to distinguish between the scales taken by a creature defeated in combat, and the scales taken by a creature a wizard keep in his lab for personal use. Of course this can apply to any kind of humor or body part extracted from any creature.

Don't worry, I will improve the content. Any reccomendation you heard about me was correct...and I am not the guy who let a fly passing under...See more

Just saw your responses here Davide.. however, given that DTRPG won't notify you of this response, I'm betting that you'll hear from me on Reddit first. ;)

The inicial idea was for ad&d. 2e. For pf1e I have to check if I can publish them on this platform.

It seems that the equivalent for PF1e can be published on drivethrurpg. Doble in other words.

That would be really cool. I know pf1e is more rules heavy than 5e is so hope that it can be done easily. Would pay for them. :-)

Right because PF1e/3.5 is rules heavy makes things easier. More instances and templates means more variables to play with.
I could start with level 0 spells and see what the outcome is.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
