BACK INTO THE BLACK...

The writers and editors behind some of your favorite releases for the greatest space-fantasy RPG of all time return to the D6 System!

Former West End Games Star Wars Creative Director Eric S. Trautmann assembles an all-star bullpen of veteran D6 System writers, including:

  • Bill Smith (Line Editor, The Star Wars Roleplaying Game.)
  • Peter Schweighofer (Editor, The Star Wars Adventure Journal.)
  • Timothy S. O'Brien (Pirates & Privateers.)
  • Drew Campbell (Cynabar's Fantastic Technology: Droids.)
  • Gareth-Michael Skarka (D6 Space: Ships.)
  • Michael Kogge (Star Wars Adventure Journal.)
  • Wayne Humfleet (Heroes & Rogues.)

...together again to bring you an anthology of eight brand-new D6 System-compatible space-fantasy adventures.  Each scenario is ready to be dropped into any existing campaign, or used to launch a new one!

Visit scenic Tekazzil, home to a royal society that views laws as optional and profit as king; slog through alien jungles in search of an ancient artifact... and the lunatic who hopes to find it first; battle octopoid pirates above the gas giant Arx; try to survive an ancient ghost ship trapped in a ruined sector of space; witness the fearsome might and utter horror of a planet of bureaucrats; avoid being caught in the fatal crossfire between vicious university academics; battle for survival against a brutal race, long believed to be extinct; and join a rag-tag fleet of xenoecologists as they attempt to preserve a pod of galactic leviathans...

The galaxy is vast and unforgiving... especially on the edges of known space.  Out there, a willingness to risk it all can be the key to survival. Every flight means danger, every landing field, starport, or orbital base can be the line between life and death.

EVERY STAR A DESTINATION

PDF and Print Edition are the same price -- and if you order the Print Edition, you get the PDF for FREE! Included with the PDF are a set of bonus files with all of the handouts, references and templates, ready to print.

This adventure anthology is the first of Adamant Entertainment's new line, STAR SYSTEM, a series of epic space-fantasy releases intended for use with any game using the classic D6 System. Follow Adamant on Twitter (@adamantent) to stay informed about new releases!

So if you don't own any old d6 rules this is useless and you're SOL? So no sale, and riddle me this, "Why is the pdf the same as the book + pdf?" that makes no damn sense what so ever...

Does this also contain a setting? Like D6 Space a lot but it needs a good generic setting.

The adventures in here are detailed enough to provide pretty much all the setting you need. There's a lot of incidental worldbuilding here that creates its own setting, really.

Same price for the print and pdf? Basically online price gouging betting on nostalgia to overcome common sense. Definate pass.

Oh hell yes! I remember these guys, had the pleasure to meet and briefly work with Smith and Schweighofer and Virtis (They won't remember me - I was just a contributing author and HUGE Star Wars fan back who pestered them at conventions back in the day). This is such an awesome idea to get "the band back together..." Can't wait to read this work!

It appears that, since there are two files (a PDF and a ZIP file of Bonus handouts), for some reason it's trying to create a preview from the ZIP, which it cannot do. I'll check with DTRPG to see if it's something they can address. Thanks for the heads-up.

DriveThru has told us that there was an error on the printer's side of things, which automatically-delisted it. Hopefully, it will be resolved soon, at which point the option will be restored.

Keep an eye on the official Adamant Entertainment Twitter account at @AdamantEnt, and the Adamant Entertainment FB page, for the latest news.

The product looks good but I'm afraid I don't buy the publisher spin. First it's said that they see it as "buy the book, get the pdf free". We'll I'm afraid another way of looking at that is "We have a pdf but we'd rather strong arm you into buying a much more expensive product by ramping up the pdf price ". That's their prerogative I guess but it's off-putting. Secondly we are told that it's actually DTRPG's system's fault, but it's been explained below how to work around that one. So, it's a pass from me im afraid.

Well, it looks like a number of other people have done a great job of voicing the same concerns I have about not offering a PDF option at a reasonable price. Oh well, hard pass on this.

When my gaming group was together our DM introduced us to WEG Star Wars and we had a blast.I'm really looking forward to reading this book. I do recall relying on the other guys with rules stuff - I found the layout of the original book a little confusing. No disrespect intended, I'm a shocker when it comes to rules in general. Do you guys have a favorite up to date rules book you use? Once again well done to all involved.

Thanks!

I think the writers all used whatever old rulebook they had at hand, tbh. For my own adventure, I used the Star Wars Introductory Adventure Game and the FFG 30th Edition facsimile of Star Wars 1st ed., and the open source D6 Space PDF.

Overall the books awesome! It has the classic WEG feel! I think I found a small error in the book page 70 the header says "Act Two" but the rest of the book calls them Episodes so I think it should say "Episode Two".

Dammit. ;)

Er, um, I mean: it was intentional, to mirror the classic WEG style with GREAT ACCURACY in that we'd mess stuff like that up all the time. ;) YOU WIN A NO-PRIZE!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
