Mermaids, sword fights, and adventures through Neverland are all fun and exciting—until you’re staring down the mouth of a crocodile big enough to topple a castle. Journey into the world of Peter Pan and its mysterious inhabitants in Neverland: A Fantasy Role-Playing Setting.

Many have heard of the island of Neverland. Stories of pirates, mermaids and Peter Pan are told by parents around the world to send their children off to a happy, dreaming sleep. But, it’s been a long time since the Darlings first flew to Neverland and a new story is about to be told. Your own.

Take a journey into the world of Peter Pan and its mysterious inhabitants in Neverland: A Fantasy RPG Setting. The book is a feature-length hex crawl campaign, intended for sandbox exploration. Created by Andrew Kolb, you’ll find endless adventure inside, lovingly adapted from the tales of Peter Pan and tailored for an older audience. Each hex is self-contained, brimming with lore from Peter Pan and the Darlings’ escapades.

It’s time to tell your own stories of pirates, mermaids and children who can fly.

For use with the fifth edition of the world’s oldest role-playing game.

Seeing a video review of the physical book, I noticed that both the pre-generated character and the A3 map are not present in the PDF. Could we have them please ?

Absolutely incredible book, incredible value for money. The setting is fantastic and unique, but just the game resources in the back are endlessly useful for any setting.

Awesome book. Are there any plans to release a version of the hex map for those of us using virtual tabletops?

I am also interested in this. Is a digital version of the map and/or any of the art available? I'd be willing to purchase to be able to play on a VTT.

Hi everyone, like you, I'm stoked to have this amazing adventure.....
I can't figure out how to correlate the stat blocks with anything useful compared to a typical monster in 5e.
So how am I (as a brand new GM) going to figure out the monsters & NPC's stat blocks or challenge rating in reference to 5e?????
Am I missing something painfully obvious like it's expected that i make them up somehow?
I really appreciate any helpful responses. Thanks!

Author's response:
"Hey! Great questions and I’ll help as best I can! On the first page of the chapter I break down a few elements for stay blocks: 1. the 3 bonuses represent “great”, “average”, and “poor” so instead of STR and such, you use one of those 3 numbers as the bonus based on what you think that NPC or creature would be. If you think Hook would be very wise, give him the first bonus when he needs to make a WIS save. If you think a jellyfish walking on land wouldn’t be very fast, add the “poor” number when he makes an initiative roll. It puts more control into the GM’s hands so trust your gut, stay consistent, and you’ll be fine. 2. The “to hit” bonus is the result of adding the “great” and “average” bonuses together. So if a creature has +2 +1 -1 for bonuses, their to-hit bonus would be +3. With that said, if you feel a bonus doesn’t match the attack, you’re welcome to adjust. 3. I haven’t provided CR because they aren’t by-the-book 5E monsters....See more

" Some creatures are weak in HP but have really powerful attacks. Their design (and the book’s intentions) isn’t to make balanced encounters, but to make a creature or NPC feel threatening and then let the party decide if they can take on the challenge. The encounter tables are random and I tell my players that whatever they encounter is by chance so don’t expect to fight your way out of every situation. They’ve started fighting creatures and halfway through they’re not winning, change tactics, and sometimes flee. It’s not what most 5E books suggest but if you’re upfront with your players at the beginning, I’ve found it adds another layer of strategy (for the players)."

For anyone who's bought the .PDF here, is it printable? I've noticed some .PDFs lately have that feature locked out, for some reason, so I thought I should check before purchasing.

I bought the physical copy on amazon (sorry drivethru, you guys don't have that option!) and this book is absolutely amazing. The artwork alone is work the $25 price tag, but the content is even better. The author clearly took lots of time to understand the source content.

Understand that this book is a setting, not an adventure. It is not going to hold the DMs hand through a game. You will still need to generate your own story, so perhaps better for more experienced DMs.

My only knock is that I wish purchase of a physical copy included the digital version, but as an owner of about 30 dnd books this my highest recommendation.

I just got the physical book on Amazon. It is gorgeous with high production values for the cost and has great and interesting content! Kudos to Andrew Kolb and the publisher for producing a high quality gaming product!

I know it is a complete stretch but if we have a physical copy would the publisher consider giving a discount to get the PDF here in Drivethrurpg? Figured I would ask since there is not a print+pdf option.

Just bought this. Looks great, though I thought it came with some pregenerated characters?

Why is this in the OSR/Corebook sections? It doesn't appear to be OSR OR a Corebook. Also you seem to have a video link embedded for a book that is completely unrelated. Otherwise, the art/layout looks great from the preview.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
