Wanderhome is a pastoral fantasy role-playing game about traveling animal-folk, the world they inhabit, and the way the seasons change. It is a game filled with grassy fields, mossy shrines, herds of chubby bumblebees, opossums in sundresses, salamanders with suspenders, starry night skies, and the most beautiful sunsets you can imagine.

You might be a tamarin who dances with small and forgotten gods, a leporine mail carrier who relies on moths to get packages where they belong, a little lizard with a big heart and a mysterious past, or a near-endless number of other thrilling possibilities. No matter what, we’re always travelers—animal-folk who go from village to village and get to see the length and breadth of all the world of Hæth. The seasons will change as we play, and we will change with them.

The Full-size Preview is missing. Plus, the preview should include details about the system, setting, and characters.

Sorry to say it but there is still no preview and simply not enough information in the description to make a purchase decision.

How about you do some research of your own then instead of leaving pass-agg comments. Go read a review. Check you-tube for an actual play - I know Dicebreaker have one up on their site because I watched it.

This book has been lovingly crafted and it shows. It's broken down nice and clearly. There is no waffle or pretention *Onyx path cough cough*. All of the art is great and made me feel like I'm reading Wind in the willows or something similar. It's not stuffed full of art for the sake of it, rather to break up the journey through the book.

Oh and it blows products produced by so called BIG companies out of the water - it's actually been proofed properly. I hate when I buy a product and there are spelling mistakes all over the place and they've even credited proof readers.

I look forward to running this game for lots of people over the coming months. So you're only cutting off your own nose if you don't do a bit of research.

This page, where the consumer is invited to purchase a product, is the publisher's opportunity to entice the consumer to purchase, to put their best foot forward, and remove as many barriers (such as forcing the consumer to "do their own research" or click away from the site) as possible toward a sale. DTRPG provides a mechanism for publishers to include previews, product details, videos, and links to other resources. Heck, even just a link to the product webpage ( would have been welcome. Compare this page to that for Hard Wired Island (Is this from a BIG company? No). It provides much better information plus a link to a free, 55-page preview. This is not passive-aggression. This is (terse) advice from someone with 20+ years of marketing experience and 30+ years of gaming experience. I might like this product. I have admiration for Ryuutama and anthro settings (I have bought way too much stuff from Sanguine over the years), but there is not enough information...See more

"How about you do some research of your own"

And why should I do that, when there are thousands of other rpgs here on drivethrurpg that DON'T force me to do extensive resarch? Seriously, why should I take your word for it, when I can look up another product and actually determine if it suits me?

Spending $25 for a product without a preview could work out....or not. I can't do "research" on every product out there and quite honestly your comments are beyond pass-agg they are outright aggressive.

I might get around to this game at some point, but you're done the product a great disservice. The publisher needs to figure out if they want to sell this game .... or not. If they do, they need to provide enough information at the point where it is sold to enable people to make a decision.

Hi Patrick, thanks for the suggestion to include a link to our website. It's been included! DriveThruRPG is not our main marketplace (in fact, we only put Wanderhome up here due to popular demand, and I only happened to stumble on your reply while looking for something else) so we're still learning the ins and outs of etiquette and formatting on here.

I am a huge Wanderhome fan. Jay was kind enough to come play with us on stream.

If you want to check it out the link is here
If you want to skip to the end where we talk with Jay about our experience playing it's here

Jay builds on the well established BoB system with a full and robust world ripe for storytelling. Every Kith class is filled with evocative choices and all of moves are written well. this is the first game in a long time where I have wanted to run a campaign in the setting so that we could see how some of the world building elements unfold in our narrative. Specifically the seasons and months of they year.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
