Now you can use the brilliant Saga of the Goblin Horde free sourcebook for Savage Worlds with the exquisitely simple Tricube Tales ruleset. Another quality addition to Zadmar Games' line of one-sheet (well, two-sheet; okay, four-sheet in this case) games, and well worth much more than the money the author asks for it.

I've been jonsing for more 1-page RPGs, so I was prety excited to find this one. Had a lot of fun setting up a creepy atmosphere- it was a pretty quick set-up too. I dig the twist mechanic!

Drakonheim is one of my favourite settings of all times, used it for some background in the black hack and now I'm giving it a reboot with Cortex Prime... I actually struggled to find a system to perfectly pair it with since each bit points to a different direction.

This wonferful little-small mini scenario file (as do the others, for which I'm happy to have paid for!) is a perfect fit for Drakonheim's mundane and low pitched "high pitched" feel. The original Drakonheim book introduces characters with a few concise and useful sentences and that's what TT does. You can play the "Brawny Dead Guard Jonathan" along with the "Crafty anand Old Sister Death" and never feel like you'll need more to represent the idiosincracy of this setting.

There is a huge misconception I'd like to start with. There are TONS of micro games today: some of them are little more than intellectual excercises, others are a bit more involved, but still... Most of the time, I find them REALLY interesting to try out and analyze for my (hopefully rewarding) upcoming designer career. I love game design, I love experimenting with one page rules, three line rules or with 684 full fledged crunchy ones. Sometimes, though, I find some fascinating pieces of art which are difficult to describe: some of 'em are usually considered "games for children", other "too simplistic", but that couldn't be farthest from the truth.

Tricuhe Tales is a genuine masterpiece of design, package and editing. The game offers a 1-3d6 narrative driven system, with a strong touch of "classicism" in it. You need to roll, you take some risk, you MUST narrate and cooperate to generate the best, possible outcome. It's old school in nature, modern school in its core functions, but it never falls in the dreaded "middle school", where you don't see nor the actual effort of making it a playable game nor the narrative tweak (without falling in the PbtA-like trap).

Tricube Tales offers a brilliant "three traits" character creatiuon processs adding two metacurrencies, which I love (a lot biased here, but still): the game is written with passion and elegance. Richard (allow me to call you by name) is a wonderful writer, cunning designer and passionate player (I guess, but I'd bet my own life on it). The more you read, the more you see the endless opportunities for those lazy OR uber passioante GMS wanting to involve many different players in engaging stories. It's not about "not caring the system", cause i LOVE systems: it's about having an EXTRAORDINARY resolution system (I won't spoil it, just buy this, come on!), lots of examples, inputs, variants and setting-ideas.

Last but not least, the game is perfectly edited in BOTH TABLET AND PHONE PDF, which is a great addition. I mean... Sit down with your family (or friends, as soon as it will be able), pull out the phone (oh, you already have it on your hands!), click "Tricuge Tales PDF", open the dice roller and write down your characters on the NOTES app. Perfect for online play as well as for "pub play" (stay safe out there!), this game seems the perfect fit for many gaming nights.

There is a lot to write for such a small game... Because this is "not" minimalist in the intellectual sense: it is a "compact" game with an ENORMOUS potential. 5 stars, no matter the small drawbacks it MIGHT have.

I've been looking for a rules lite superhero game, and once again Tricube Tales has come to the rescue. It's amazing how much great stuff is crammed into two pages: everything from character genration, to rules, to ideas for adventures and locations.

This is perfect for anyone whose regular group wants them to run a game inspired by Cyberpunk 2077. Tricube Tales' character creation is a joy to behold. The system is a bit like Fate or Cortex Prime, only easier to grasp, and all you need are 3d6. But even if you have another system in mind, this download is worth it, just for the adventure generator.

Yet another excellent one-page setting for the awesome Tricube Tales generic rules. Cool cyberpunk adventures with none of the cruft!

This is basically The Mandalorian: The One-Page RPG. Featuring a condensed version of the excellent minimalist Tricube Tales ruleset (worth a download too), a mission generator and a set of twists and complications, you will be offering your targets to choose between be brought in warm... Or be brought in cold in no time. The price can't be beaten, too.

This is hands down one of the best "Monsters are the PCs" games out there. Never will I be content to play a single goblin ever again, not when I can have my own horde of the fierce little sh*ts.

Also, fungus= psionics FTW! Woot!

This deck feels right when considering the theme. Goblins rock.

I'm not sure there's anything that I can say about SotGH that hasn't already been said. It's nothing short of a masterpiece written by a mad genius. The amount of work that Richard puts out astounds and confounds me, I had no idea there were that many hours in a day. What's really remarkable is that he can put out that much work and it's all really good work.

This is a unique, quirky, and imaginitive setting with some unexpected plot twists and secrets that the player's won't see coming (no spoilers). My player group at Arisia had an absolute blast slaughtering those vile, tiny-headed humans. Zadmar's art and written content are top-quality, introducing some interesting rules mechanics and convincingly presenting all content through a lens of dark humor using the perspective of the setting's diminutive anti-hero protagonists. I honestly still can't believe this product is free. Though the setting was written for the now-outdated Deluxe rules set, it is easily adapted to Savage Worlds: Adventure Edition, and is a great addition to the collection of any Savage Worlds GM who wants to run an entertaining and very different sort of fantasy game.

One of the most interesting little portable rpgs I've found. You only need 3 d6 and a handful of coins or tokens to play and you can take it with you on your phone. Unlike other rules-light systems, it includes "rulings" (more than "rules") and advice for several different genres, from cyberpunk to supers or horror and vehicle rules. The "combat" rules can also be used easily to play out other kinds of conflicts, from chases to debates. I am seriously considering getting the print version because I love pocket-sized rpgs.

Simple & Good. Perks, Quirks and Karma Mechanic is Beautiful. This game is based on other games, but sublimated successfully.
