This a great book.

It is very well written with dry wit and humour that made me laugh more than once. The story itself is just like diving back into one of those adventures that you cherished on a gaming night, it was nice to get back there especially in this period!

I thoroughly recommend the book for any Fantasy RPG players, of course especially T&T fans... so buy it, you won't regret it... (remember that with a bit of imagination, and using the map that is helpfully included at the end, you could even play the adventure through with some friends too, so double the value for money!)

The most relevant book for my campaign. Powers up these characters a pile. interesting, varied and balanced. Worthwhile and a game enricher.

Of all the spell books for seperate races, Elves makes the race even more mystical and mighty. Such a jewel in the game.

Adding to the rich magic system of T&T, this gives a serious differentiation to the fairy race. Another reason to choose them. Well thought out and great to add. Super.

If you play Tunnels and Trolls or Monsters! Monsters!, you will find this book essential. It contains valuable information on Trollworld's Uruk cultures as well as the spells of their shamans.

I recommend all the kindred spellbooks, but I feel this one is the best and most useful for expanding your game.

oh yes, race specific magic. A great unique system for this race and all the different races given. very thematic for the races, gremlin magic is .... mischieveous. very nice.

As a long time fan of Vampire: the Masquerade, it always amused me when people said that was the first game to focus on monsters. Monster! Monsters! of course predated it by nearly 15 years.

Another Zanny brainchild of Ken St Andre, Monsters! Monsters! follows that same simple systems as Tunnels and Trolls - a d6 pool and summation mechanic with a xd6 skill mechanic focused primarily on a character's attributes. The rules are fast and easy, and can be learned in about 5 minutes, and the character sheet fits on an index card.

Monsters! Monsters! however, takes the game in totally new directions than T&T. There are dozens of monster kindreds to play as, with their own unique rules and modifiers. Whereas other roleplaying games focus on rules complexity, M!M! tries to make the game interesting with tons of variety to supplement the simple rules. Additionally, M!M! 2nd edition is only 67 pages long, introducing some rules clarifications and additions from Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls without bogging down the game with setting or minutae. If you do want some setting material for the world, you can check out the comparatively massive dT&T.

Finally M!M! 2nd edition finishes off with a basic adventure in a dwarf hold. It's a fun, quick romp with a terrifying adversary at the end.

I read thru this new edition of one of my favorite classics in one sitting , thats how good it really is! This edition is written in a very user friendly way , not once did I feel like I was reading a boring a tech manual on dice rolling, it was fun to read , there are very clear and concise rules examples, to clarify the rules. This edition adds innovations , such as "Beast Mode " and the best use of a chaos factor that ive seen in a long time. There are several Kindred descriptions to choose from , and guidance on making your own. It has a Monster Kindred- ized Spell selection , and a very cool and helpful character sheet .A really cool bestiary . The game comes with Figure cut outs , and a GM adventure , with adventure leads for both DT&T and Monsters! characters . the game is complete, aside from dice , its all you need !The Art in this edition is spot on, beautiful fantasy pieces, this is one of the few games ive purchased lately that I can honestly say im 100% happy with. The Troll God and the creative team behind this new edition did an awesome job! For those not aquainted with this game fear not , its written for new hands just as much as its written for old hands !

There was a time when there was only one RPG that you could buy. Arguably, many of us started playing various "monsters" -- goblins, dwarfs, orcs, half-orcs, a 3/4 orc (Don't ask!), thieves, and evil magicians were normal in my gaming groups.

Then came the second RPG -- i.e. Tunnels & Trolls. A new concept (among several) in RPG was introduced - There were no automatic monsters. Every species (or "race," if you prefer) was a "Kindred" and with the same access to legal protection as humans -- provided they lived and interacted with humans.

Yet the dungeons, tunnels, mine shafts, etc., were the haven of so many truly anti-social types of all kindreds. And it wasn't long before the creator of that second RPG wondered what life looked like to those creatures who hid in the dark and hoarded loot the player characters wanted. Gold, jewels, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and other valuable hoarded objects meant that mostly-human groups would invade these creatures' homes and steal their stuff. Sometimes they killed you, your family, and your little dog too!

So he gave us rules to portray these monsters, giving some of them the chance to defend themselves. Again, a simple, fast rule system -- Khenn was putting his vocational skills as a librarian to work with heavy (pun?) research.

It was GREAT in its first printing, with that great Liz Danforth cover! It was printed again, when Flying Buffalo (FBI) took it back from Metagaming, and we learned how to THINK like monsters, TALK like monsters, EAT like monsters, and occasionally leading a revenge party out of the caves and down on the human villages!

And now - It's even BETTER! An experienced rolegamer will build a character he or she will love, in less than 4 minutes. A new gamer might take a few minutes longer. The adventures and action are from the viewpoint of dragons, huffalumps, demons, and IRS agents (You can build ANY type of character in these rules!) for the first time again! Indeed, Khenn starts out with "How to Think Like a Monster -- and Why Would You?"

It's better - faster - with paper/cardboard/3d printer miniatures, methods to create any new monsters you might dream (a nightmare, I'm sure) up, a Monster Rating Modifiers chart which just happens to list most of the "official" monsters - including empty ratings for a "No Monster" monster, a great adventure that includes a temple to Gristlegrim (I've been looking for one of those for a long time!), and a fully-stocked city! You'll adventure in this setting for a long time...until you get that urge to create your OWN adventure, your OWN city, your OWN world -- and you can control it all! The power! Such POWER!!! BWAHAHA HAHAHA!!

A great update to a classic game spun off from (and by the same creator of) Tunnels & Trolls. All new art, improved layout, and clearer updated rules in line with the latest edition of T&T bring this old-school classic into the modern era in real style! A stand alone game that is also compatible with and can be used as an expansion to T&T.

What a great update to a great game! Monsters! Monsters! was a breakthrough in its time. Before the Reverse Dungeon, it let players play "The Other Side" as all sorts of fun creatures, making the lives of innocent villagers, uptight nobles, and self-important adventurers just as troublesome as they deserve.

Now we have a new updated version, after several decades! It's compatible with Deluxe Tunnels and Trolls, allowing all sorts of material developed for that game to be plug and play with this. plus, this material can all be dropped into dT&T! Add new monsters, more personalized monsters into dT&T, or, play the other side of the dungeon as the gamemaster sends adventurers in to loot your humble underground abode (or decaying castle, haunted wood, fetid swamp, fevered nightmare, or...You name it.)

The art and design are updated as well as the rules, giving a clean modern look to this great game. Magic for the creatures, and spells, are updated as well as powers and abilities.
