Industrial Sector Battle Mat #1

Brilliant! This was an exceptionally useful piece of kit. The colours were vibrant without being overpowering. The features and textures were specific and interesting without being too definite and reducing the options for use. It is available in one of the alt files provided as pages of pdf. I printed about 12, glued and taped and used the resulting battlemap for a skirmish game set in a shanty town built on an area of post-industrial blight, with great results. Really generous price and I'm extremely pleased with the purchase.

The Natives Are Restless Tonight

Clear to read and prepare. Excellent fun to play.

Got this and had an enjoyable time making cardboard models of the buildings for the compound following the instructions provided, creating card minis for the game, making up sets of mealie bag walls etc. The booklet shows you how to lay out the compound, provides a good rundown of what forces are required, starting positions etc. The cards provided were nicely designed with the effects explained in clear and obvious manner and Union flag backs. We printed them and put them in collectible card game sleeves to make a deck. However the game can be played using ordinary playing cards and the explanation on how to do this was clear. The rules were explained well and helped two novices to run the game successfully on the first run-through. My Zulus were defeated and an excellent time was had by both participants and spectators.

The game was greeted with enthusiasm We will run the Rorkes Drift scenario through again and in addition the booklet did generate some enthusiasm for using the rules to play through other homemade scenarios in the same vein.

Thank you very much to the Tea House for providing this!

El Cheapo Minis Vol. 10 Gang Folk
Publisher: El Cheapo Products
by Nathan W. [Verified Purchaser]

I purchased this product recently and made up the figures closely trimmed in their black-bordered variant. The figures look good. The colours are strong even on normal printer paper and give enough definition so that the figures are distinguishable from one another at tabletop distance. Some of the figures require quite intricate trimming, especially around the automatic rifle held by one of the women and between the legs and arms where they are held close to the body. The extra effort is rewarded however and the figures have a real action movie vibe. The poses are good , with enough energy to feel dynamic without forcing them into a specific pose which might restrict their use. This group has three colourways provided. Some of the figures look so different in their different colours that they could be used as part of the same group, others are more similar. The set is half female, half male with a variety of skin tones represented. The figures could be used as intended to provide a group of opponents ( they are all carrying weapons) or individual figures picked out for a PC in a modern action game. This is a brilliant set. If you are running a modern superhero or action game I would call it essential!

Gunslingers #2: Urban

I got these as part of the Gunslingers bundle which offered the best value but this was the set I bought it for.

These figures print out well on ordinary printer paper. The match between back and front is good and they are easy to trim.

They are colourful enough to stand out at table distance but still look restrained enough to be realistic. I printed at 84% to get a good match for other figures I was using for a game and the figures still pop at the slightly reduced size.

The art is in a realistic style and I would use these in a modern skirmish wargame context as easily as in a roleplaying game.

There are twenty-odd figures, with some repetition of poses in different colours and facing and with different weapons. You could probably use a good half dozen of these at a time without any repetition.

I was looking for a bunch of modern gunmen and these fit the bill quite well. They are a relatively clean-cut bunch and I'd mainly use these as undercover cops, solitary killers and criminals, corporate bodyguards or FBI, CIA etc.

An excellent set.

Improbable Tales: Day of the Swarm

I used this adventure for my solo supers game. Enough detail was included to run the game along with game stats etc. The NPC hero included became a recurring feature of my campaign.

I particularly enjoyed the slightly camp-y retro feel to the adventure. Giant bugs straight out of a 50s movie. I wouldn't have thought to include this sort of subject in my ongoing game without this as a prompt and it made an interesting and creative side-trek. I bought all of the volume 1 Improbable Tales separately and they are what I reach for whenever I need something unconnected to the major campaign themes which feels different and fresh.

Into the Wilderness: Map 0

This is a great product. Just the right balance of trees to background to allow placement of figures etc. The artist underplays the quality of the artwork. I think it's certainly as good as anything sold specifically as tiles. Separate PDF pages allowed me to print it out and fix it to 6 panels (of thick corrugated cardboard) to create a robust battle board just over 20" square. This was great for a quick skirmish game and I'm sure I will use it again. It's certainly given me the confidence to come straight to Crooked Staff the next time I need modular terrain that I can print out and decide how much of it I want to put into play. Great stuff!

F-0024 - ghouls

These figures are brilliant. I saw the full preview and really liked the style of the art, the Ghouls are big and intimidating. Some of the first fantasy undead that are actually scary. If you are using Ghouls, grab these!

All of Antohammers stuf seems to be a low price and you get a lot for your money. The art is realistic but clear, clean and colourful, it can be seen well from across the table.

I was going to buy this set on its own but then I found its in a bundle (which only seems to show up at Wargames Vault) and got that. The skeletons in that are fantastic as well and it's cracking value. If you're running Barrowmaze or a similar undead themed adventure you'll find these ideal.
