Excellent dungeon romp for groups of new players looking to get their feet wet. Matt Coville needs no introduction, and he clearly know's what he's doing with this one. Our sassy barbarian just had to open the sarcophagi in the tomb room at the end which resulted in one of the players dying due to opportunity attacks. It provided this particular player with a valuable lesson about combat.

I've played this as a one-shot for multiple groups (lvl 1 - 3) and everyone had a great time. The maps and descriptions were very helpful for me as a fairly new DM. I had music playing in the background to help immerse my players and that worked perfectly. So far none of the groups has managed to enter the hidden room.

I picked this as my first session as a brand new DM (but experienced player). It went very well. There were a variety of encounters, several battles, and some puzzles to solve. We all had fun!

As a first time GM, I found this one-shot easy to understand and fun to run. It had everything I needed and it was easily adjusted to fit into my campaign.

I just ran this with 1 inexperienced, 1 experienced and 2 first times (so 4 players). We had a blast and did it in about 3 hours.

Just a note, this is pretty difficult with how big the fights are, I had to take some goblins out in a couple places.

This was a perfect 1 shot that you can finish in a night.

Ran this as a first time GM yesterday, everything went swell! I added some more roleplaying items to get my players (also first time playing) more into character, like rolling dice with the farmers, arm werstling contests etc. Everything went super swell! We played for 3h and had a great cliffhanger just after the offering room.

Great basic scenario for anyone new to DMing. It's something everyone should consider. Easy to read, easy to follow. Also, make sure to listen to Matt Colville, who has a huge playlist on youtube, free of commercials. True legend in our game.

When Matt Colville started his video series with explaining the Delian Tomb I knew I had to run it. But at that stage I didn't have a group I could run it for. Fast forward to September 2018 and that opportunity arose as part of starting a new campaign with a new (to me) group of players. I decide to check if anyone had expanded on the storyline and that's where I stumbled upon Seth's version.

I've since run this version more than 12 times as taster sessions for people completely new to D&D and as "session 0.5" type events to get the party warmed up to what is yet to come in a campaign. Whilst much of that is down to the simplicity of what Matt's adventure is, what Seth has done is given the adventure a better starting point and a more rounded feel overall. It has now become my go-to adventure when running short taster games for groups and also the main scenario I recommend to new DMs to try out, especially when using a VTT of some kind.

The campaign that I used this for is still running the characters have recently stumbled across another tomb of the Delian Order. Thanks Seth!

This is an excellent one-shot adventure that any prospective DM can pick up and run with little to no issue.

This is a thoughtful take on Matt Colville's Delian Tomb adventure, and a great starting adventure that can be dropped into any 5e fantasy setting. The main addition the author brings to this adventure is context, providing a ready-made plothook, and some friendly NPCs, to start the action off. If you are looking for a straightforward adventure to start a longer campaign, or high stakes, low prep one-shot, this is an excellent choice.

A small adventure that has everything to introduce me as the DM to DM'ing and to introduce new DnD players to DnD. This introduction was the starting point for a new party of new adventurers (and one somewhat experienced one)

I appreciated the effort that has gone into this product, especially your dungeon room descriptions. My group loved the encounter in the final room, with the Edict Blade a suitable reward for first level parties. The Delian Tomb, outlined originally by Matt Colville, is a great beginner adventure and you have expanded on it so brilliantly in your adaption.

Loved when colville explained this dungeon, and your interpretation of it is spectacular. My wife and little sister are now hooked on D&D because of this short adventure. Anyone looking to start beginner players, this is an excellent adventure for newbie players and DMs alike.

Having rashly offered to host a game of D&D over the holidays (not having played for over 25 years), I picked this one, padded it the start a bit with some "getting to know you" encounters, and the whole thing ran really well. It was a nice way of acquainting myself with the rule changes, was simple to run, fun to go off at the odd tangent with and gave us an enjoyable evening. Though intended as a 4 hour game, it ran over 6, mainly because of some inspirational character play by my kids! I only killed one of them off, and only because I wasn't paying close attention to everyone's hit points (scyth trap...).

This adventure is pretty straighforward and it is written well enough to make it easy to follow. Any Matt Colville fans will enjoy this module, it takes Colvilles Delian Tomb idea and adds more substance to it. Some nice maps have been provided to help with the adventure. Some things that would improve the adventure: Add creature statblocks either in the appendix or inline. Make the DCs and skillchecks stand out more by using italics or bold. Add some more fleshed out NPC motivations. Add the battlemaps and perhaps some player handouts as seperate documents.

All things considered the adventure provides an easy to use adventure but it still needs some work to use as a DM.
