Skills Guide is a must-have for any GM or player new to the Genesys RPG. Every skill is covered in detail with examples, standard and creative uses, and charts for using Boost and Setback as well as spending dice results for each skill. There are even some suggestions for unique ways to use some skills that aren't covered in the core rules. This supplement deserves a chef's kiss!

Absolutely essential to anyone who wants to get into Genesys! Really helped open my eyes to the endless possibilites the narrative dice can create, rather than the dull 'pass as many blue dice as you can' style of play some groups devolve into. The length of the document is insane (over 100 pages), and really goes into depth on each skill and the ways the different symbols can be used to their full effects. Can't recommend this doc enough.

It's the most useful Genesys add-on. The only place you can learn how to interpret the dice symbols to make your game interesting and full of plot twists.

Very simply the best supplement on the Foundry. Incredibly thorough, it thoroughly expands on every single skill in the Core Rulebook in great detail. It has multiple symbol results tables for each skill, a bevy of interesting new rules, and helpful guidance on selecting skills for your setting. Particularly interesting are some great rules to clarify and make use of Knowledge skills, which are so often ambiguous. It also has wonderful presentation and production values - it would benefit from a round of proofreading to help with translation errors in grammar, but that's extremely minor. If that were fixed, this would deserve to be bound and sold in a store as an official Genesys product.

I would rate this second only to the Core Rulebook for anyone interested in playing Genesys. It's that good.

Un PDF qui me sert de bible. Cela m'a permis d'être beaucoup plus dans la narration durant mes parties, et moins dans le côté échec/critique du jeu. J'ai encore un peu de mal avec la perception, mais c'est parce que je tends trop la main aux joueurs, je "force" encore trop souvent ces jets. Sinon j'ai adoré les explications, et chaque exemple. Vivement une version Française. :p :p

Invaluable for helping to further customize and understand skills in Genesys for your setting. Does a great job on adding more options for magic, as well as outlining potential uses of various skills, and gives a good sense of insight into how to choose skills for your game based on that.

One of the main feedback from other GMs who try out FFG Star Wars or Genesys systems is that often inventing effects or narrative flair to effects from advantages and threat can become a chore, this guide is a great for finding ideas for exactly that! On top of that you get great idea for gradually learning and implementing magic!

In brief, a step in the right direction. A nicely created and wide ranging assessment and guidance for Genesys users in the application of the skills and other rules.

Broad standardisation and pointers for GM’s in the application of the rules. Naturally, setting specific rules can be applied alternatively but in summary, a nice piece of work and resource which aids all during game play. This level of guidance should have been included in the Genesys Core Rule Book or the Genesys Advanced Players Guide.

This book is just bursting with insipiring ideas that I want to learn it by heart cover to cover. The book includes an introduction and a couple of new rules, but is mostly divoted to a detailed discussion of each individual skill in its own chapter, giving you a huge variety of uses and their potential effects. Each chapter includes several tables for dice interpertaions. This work is massive and truly inspirational - a great read for any Genesys player, even if not specifically used at the table.

The more I read through this, the more useful it is. It really goes into each skill with a lot of detail, so you can fully realize the scope of each given skill. It also helps when you think a skill isn't covered, but then see where it can fall within a given, existing skill. Highly recommended part of your basic Genesys toolkit.
